The Boston Celtics have been out of championship talks for quite some time, but their day of reckoning may finally come this offseason. The Celtics have spent the last few years slowly building up assets and forming a young core with a great coach.
Stocking draft picks and good players, the Celtics have seemingly managed to acquire a high playoff seed with such a young core. Throw that in with all the draft picks they have acquired and the Celtics look like the next big team in the NBA.
f the Celtics can acquire any three of these players, they will instantly become one of the favorites in the East. The Celtics certainly have the cap space to do this and the draft picks and asset to obtain these three players.
All three of these players are on teams that need to rebuild and each star could be looking for the door on their current team. Demarcus Cousins, Jimmy Butler and Paul George would be a big force to reckon with, especially for the likes of Lebron James
Only time will tell if this move can be pulled off, but if it happens, Danny Ainge will certainly be named GM of the year. Keep your fingers crossed Celtics’ fans.
